JA India is part of Junior Achievement Worldwide™, the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about Work Readiness, Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship, through experiential, hands-on programs. The organization is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. Since its founding in 1919, JA has contributed to the business and economic education of 79 million young people around the world.
Today, JA Worldwide reaches out to around 10 million students in over 100 countries around the world.
JA India was founded in 2006 and commenced classroom operations in January 2007. JA India runs programs impacting over 450,000 students and 450 institutions across 5 different Indian cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Bangalore and neighbouring regions. JA India has been growing consistently over the last 10 years and is the fastest growing region among the 18 largest JA regions worldwide.
Junior Achievement India’s work readiness programs reached more than 100,000 students in over 2850 classrooms across 245+ educational institutions in FY13. With the help of nearly 2000 volunteers and more than 30 corporates, JA students learned first-hand about the world of work and the skills they need to thrive in today’s global and rapidly changing marketplace.
